Houses in the historical context of Bushehr have special architectural features due to their residential history, commercial conditions of Bushehr port and also its climatic conditions. Understanding the characteristics of houses in the historical context of Bushehr, in addition to recognizing the heritage of Iranian architecture, with the view of generalizability in order to optimize housing today is also important to investigate. Bushehr historical houses, while providing functional and residential needs, have had the optimal function of building ventilation from humidity and humid environmental conditions, so that they have used all elements of architecture and urban planning for air ventilation and moisture removal. In this research, by examining the historical context of Bushehr, the historical houses of this city are included in a typological classification. The research question is; How can the historical houses of Bushehr be classified? What are the physical features of the main spaces of Bushehr historical houses? To study the houses of Bushehr historical context, a descriptive survey research method was used and by analyzing the data and perceptions of the field research method and also by conducting interviews with the old residents of this city, the physical condition of the historical houses was described. Also, in the type’s recognition section, the type of research has been deductive and inferential, and both deductive and inferential methods have been used in the typology of houses in the historical context of Bushehr. In this study, the physical spaces of the houses of the historical context of Bushehr have been described. These spaces in the houses of the historical context of Bushehr include; Yard, mahtabi, roof and staircase, porch and entrance hall, shanshir, tarmeh, corridors and stairs, room (in five-door, four-door and three-door with one side opening, five-door, four-door and three-door with two-sided opening, five-door, four-door and There are three (four) sides opening), reception (guest house), chamber (dining room), closet (chest of drawers), kitchen (kitchen), basin and bathrooms. In this article, by purposive theoretical sampling, 16 houses were examined in three species; Large three- and four-story mansions, two- and three-story mansions (houses) for residential use, and the third category of small two-story mansions were categorized; and in any, one house is introduced as an example. As a result of the studies, while expressing the physical characteristics of Bushehr historical houses in all three species, the houses were also examined in terms of spatial commonalities, accesses, layout and hierarchy. The spaces in the studied houses have three common parts: service, residential and reception. House in the historical context of Bushehr evokes a single word in the minds of residents of the historical context of Bushehr, because the characteristics of the house for all its residents are not directly related to the economic conditions of residents, income level and construction costs, rather, the house is the result of a kind of thinking and living in space that has been common in Bushehr. The spaces in the studied houses have three common parts: service, residential and reception. The spatial diversity of each of the mentioned sections in the studied species sometimes occupies several luxurious and wide spaces in large mansions and in some cases is provided with flexibility and replacement in the manner and time of use in that space, and in none of the houses is this spatial diversity diminished. Therefore, the quality of life is maintained in contrast to the quantity and area of houses.
